I sometimes take for granted living in beautiful California where we have beautiful scenery and gorgeous light. My couple wanted a location that was woodsy so I found this groove of eucalyptus trees in Marin County. We complimented this with the sun-kissed coastline at Rodeo Beach. This type of scenery and light lends itself to shooting film. My beautiful couple Steph and Bennett were such a treat to photograph. They are so beautiful in front of my camera as well as beautiful human beings.
I’ve had the pleasure of working with and getting to know Lorraine in the wedding business these past couple of years. I have always admired her professionalism and hard work at weddings, so it was refreshing to see a different side of Lorraine while photographing her engagement session. I love how tender Lorraine and Erick are with each other, just going with it and having a good time in front of my camera. The white marble of San Francisco City Hall made for the perfect black canvas for Lorraine’s stunning printed dress by Monique Lhuillier.
We were fortunate to catch the tail end of cherry blossom season this spring in Golden Gate Park for Jo & Bryan’s engagement session. I never tire of these beautiful blooms! It’s too bad they only make their appearance just once a year. Jo & Bryan are such a fun loving couple and I love how they interact with each other. Their playfulness really shows in the photos. I can’t wait for their wedding later this year!
Both Kellie and Jon’s families have long histories in San Francisco so it was only appropriate to photograph their engagement session in our beautiful city. As a native to San Francisco, I never get tired of the beauty and charm of my city! I love engagement photos because that is where I develop the trust from my couples. No questions asked, Kellie & Jon gladly climbed up on ledges and stood in the middle of Powell Street dodging cars just so I could get the perfect photos.
