My Valentine, Nancy Liu Chin, designed some modern day romance for this beautiful Valentine’s Day inspired photo shoot. The iconic Viceroy Palm Springs made for the perfect backdrop with it’s charming bungalows and perfectly lit white rooms. Add in a shopping spree at the local Target store for some props and there you have it. I love all the little romantic vignettes that Nancy created and so will you. It will surely spice up your upcoming Valentine’s Day celebration!
All photos shot with my trusty little travel camera, Sony RX100II.
I was contacted by fellow photographer, neighbor and friend Anna Wu to participate in her Art for Art project. It’s a personal project that Anna does monthly with other photographers. It’s an exchange between artist to photograph each other. I can see how educational and interesting it would be to see how other photographers work. So of course I was thrilled to participate. Here are the photos of Anna that I shot here at my studio. It’s been awhile since I’ve used my studio setup so this gave me a chance to dust off the studio strobes, switch gears and do something different. I love the photos that Anna captured of me. I know everyone says they don’t like photos of themselves but I REALLY don’t like photos of myself because when I smile, my face usually looks all scrunchy. Anna had her work cut out for her and she did a fabulous job making me look relaxed and normal. My job photographing her was definitely easier then her photographing me. Haha! In celebration of Mother’s Day, I wanted to share some of my favorite Mom photos from some past weddings. I love weddings and I love capturing all of the emotions of the day. As you look at these photos, you can really feel the love and joy that these moms have for their children. Happy Mother’s Day to all you wonderful moms that I have had the pleasure of photographing.
